Mae - 8 Months
Mae turned 8 months while we were in Canada so I didn't have her monkey with us to get her monthly photos. I also could not get her to sit and do a proper pose for me so I ended up with the following pictures:

Mae 7.5 months
The only professional pictures we took Ben for were when he was 'around' 6 months. So at the end of May we took Mae to the same place to get her photos done for our wall. Since she was our 2nd child, we were smarter this time around and returned home with pictures of 3 different poses - rather than a giant package of photos that joins her brothers to collect dust in our closet. Of course that also means I had to scan her pictures for the blog since we didn't receive a CD of them.

And I thought I would repost a picture of Ben from his photo shoot back then :) You can go back to the August 2007 post to see the rest of the ones I had posted of his.

Family Photos
Mae hanging at Grandma's
Mae was extremely busy at Grandma's. She had mastered crawling (she doesn't use her knees - instead you see her with her bum up in the air speeding from 1 place to the next on her hands and feet) and was always on the move. Her favorite place was under the dining room table while Benjamin and I played lego.

She also LOVED to make a mess.

Marineland
During our Canada visit we took the kids (minus Mae who stayed home with Grandma) to Marineland. We went on a Friday which turned out awesome as their were no waits for the rides and the kids just ran from ride to ride. Benjamin loved being able to go on everything with his older cousins - and no mommy!

Mae & Zane
My sister's son is only 6.5 months older then Mae and it was adorable to watch those 2 interact. Mae just wanted to play with whatever Zane was playing with and Zane, although he wasn't sure what to do with her loud screaching, mostly put up with her. It will be fun seeing the cousin dynamic when my sis has her 2nd boy and Mae becomes the girl smack in the middle - 7 months younger then Zane, and almost 1 year older than boy 2.

Grandma sitting on the floor with blueberries and both children attacking her like vultures:

Canada Trip June 2011
The kids and I headed to Grandma's house for the month of June (Sam joined us the last week of the month). Mae met her cousins for the 1st time and Benjamin wanted to never leave their sides!! He wasn't too particular about which cousin played with him - as long as their was always someone playing with him. The days they were in school were very long days at Grandma's house....

Turning their backyard into a waterpark:

Ben and Mae loved going to the boys and Julia's soccer games. And the kids were really good at teaching Benjamin to play soccer during their breaks (the games usually weren't at the same time, so either the boys or Julia were sitting with us while their sibling(s) played). Ben wants to play on a team now (well really he wants to play on their team...) so we are going to hopefully sign him up for his 1st team this fall.
